I believe good writing comes from numerous text revisions, and I am committed to sharing my expertise in writing personal statements, fellowship- and grant applications with first generation (prospective and current) students and early-career scholars. Each grad school- or other major funding application term, I offer written feed-back to first generation college students, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, queer, and international students. My training is in the discipline of socio-cultural anthropology or international relations with an ethnographic focus, and qualitative methods. My advice will be especially helpful to scholars and students with similar research interests.
When you reach out, please introduce yourself briefly, indicate your time line, and have a rough draft prepared, or on the way, no later than three months before the official deadline. I look forward to hearing from you!
